ANTHONY BATCHELDER WEBSITE AWARD (’11) This award was introduced by the Awards Committee in 2011 in memory of Tony Batchelder of Tulsa, OK. Tony was a theatre lover who often juggled multiple roles on stage and behind the scenes–but he hated directing. He was an expert at lighting a scene, but also was known to steal a scene if on stage. Tony made his biggest theatrical contributions far from the stage light. Tony was a great supporter of OCTA, its mission and purpose. He created the newsletter and was webmaster for OCTA for several years. Theatre in OK lost a good friend who was always doing something to create a more cohesive Oklahoma theatre community.
Member theatres will submit nomination in uneven years.
The award will be presented in recognition of Excellence in maintaining the Best Web site for an Oklahoma Community Theatre.
