OCTA PAST PRESIDENTS PLAQUE

   The OCTA 1988-89 Board of Directors wished to do something special to commemorate the anniversary celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Oklahoma Community Theatre Foundation.  It was agreed that a plaque that listed each of the Presidents of OCTA would be suitable as it would begin in 1969 and could be continued as long as the current Board of Directors wished.

   This Past President¹s plaque was to be hung in the OCTA office. It was to be updated each time a President started a new term, definitely no later than when the term was ended and someone new was filling the position of President.

   This simple plaque was purchased in 1989 and presented during the OCTAFest 89 in Bartlesville.  It contained the names of Past Presidents, from Fritz Congdon and John Pearson in 1969-1970 to Jimmy Vaughn in 1988-1989.  There were a number of blank spaces so that future presidents could be listed.

   All OCTA Past Presidents received a special invitation to attend this 20th Year Celebration.  Those that could not attend sent correspondence.   Although some had moved and new addresses were not known, all had been located before the Celebration Festival began.  Those present received a lapel pin with Celebration logo.

   This plaque is currently in the OCTA office.
