OCTA always looks forward to a time to interact and network with our theatre community. The main events of OCTA are the statewide festival every even-numbered year and the statewide conference every odd-numbered year. Members and Non Members may attend. Workshops are also offered throughout the year.
2017 AACTFest Region VI:
OCTA was represented well at the Region VI #AACTFest17 in Lafayette!
Sand Springs Community Theater's "Tomato Plant Girl" was chosen as the SECOND ALTERNATE to represent Region VI on the national level! They also received the LIGHTING DESIGN award. Jami Harris Shine received one of only two acting awards given by the adjudicators.
OnStage Woodward's "A Case of Belonging" was awarded the COSTUME DESIGN award.
Sally Barnes was elected as the new Region VI AACT representative, and Charlie Burns was appointed as the Oklahoma contact for AACT.
Oklahoma's shows were well received by both the audience and the adjudicators. OCTA board members Sally Barnes, Sharon Burum, and Charlie Burns were present to represent OCTA and Oklahoma.
Thank you for your support of community theatre. We hope YOU are planning to bring a show to state festival next year at OCTAFest 2018 in Woodward!
