Oklahoma Community Theatre Association provides:
- Networking and consultant services to not for profit theatres in Oklahoma in areas of organizational structure, staff development, fiscal responsibility, budget development, building advocacy and development of artistic philosophy.
- Networking through social media sites
- Facilitation of biennial statewide Conference (odd years)
- Workshops every year
- Facilitation of the biennial OCTAFest (even years)
- Production Calendar for Member Events
- Elementary Curriculum
- Facilitate the Penguin Project with community theatres to help become replication sites
We are currently members of the following organizations:
- Oklahomans for the Arts
- American Association of Community Theatres
- Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits (Two of our Board members have completed the prestigious Standards of Excellence training – Recognized nationally as the gold standard for Board development.)
Each year on behalf of our membership we attend the following events, with a vendor table to represent our membership:
- Oklahoma Arts Conference
- Arts Day at the Capitol
Our Board members go as a representative of all our membership, to be a voice for YOU. We hope to let Oklahoma know they have this rich arts resource in cities and towns large and small.
